Septoplasty is a surgical correction of the cartilage and bone that divides the two nostrils (nasal septum). This surgery is performed to improve breathing, relieve nasal obstructions, remove benign or malignant tumors, or reconstruct the septum after previous surgery or trauma.
Turbinate submucosal resection with coblation
COBLATION Turbinate Reduction is a medical innovation used to treat nasal airway obstruction by both removing and shrinking soft tissue inside the inferior turbinates. COBLATION technology combines low-temperature radio frequency energy with saline to create a plasma field, which is contained at the tip of the device; it dissolves tissues at the molecular level, resulting in a precise dissection of targeted tissue.
Vivaer nasal airway remodeling
Vivaer® Nasal Airway Remodeling is a new, innovative and minimally invasive technology used to treat nasal obstruction caused by nasal swell bodies on the septum, turbinate hypertrophy, and nasal valve collapse. This is performed in the office under local anesthesia only. VIVAER treatment utilizes proprietary low-temperature, radiofrequency energy to effectively reshape the nasal airway to improve airflow, without any incisions.
LATERA for nasal valve collapse
The LATERA dissolvable nasal implant is used to support upper and lower lateral cartilage in the nose, reinforcing the nasal wall like traditional cartilage and polymer grafts. Supporting the cartilage in this manner may reduce nasal airway obstruction symptoms and significantly help patients breathe better.
